It does not matter. I read books usually 1-2 pages per chapter, but I've also read that some 20-40 pg. Chapters. It depends really on the plot / summary of its history.
50 000 words is about 100 pages. So if you are a really great novel, say, 400 pages, you 200 000 words. While more than 50K should be good.

As someone said, could www.nanowrimo.org a really useful tool for you. If you are writing that you will be involved with the challenge of 50K words in November would be a good idea it seems to be interested, I do!

There is no standard number of words for the chapter.

In the misery of the book by Stephen King is a chapter that is a word.

Some writers tend to write short chapters and others often take longer to write novels, but in most of the chapters varies.

As you write, I think, read much? Start chapter of the books he reads.

If you think a chapter on how a scene, but then need to write many words on the stage, the time that the chapter should be.

What do you mean with a size of "good" novel? Use TNR 12, sure, we can estimate an average of 250 words per page. A new way to anywhere from 80,000 to 90,000 words, but that is very different, particularly in relation to sex. Minimum Stay novel is 50,000 words.

Write your first draft without worrying about how long your chapters. Just to end, if it feels right to stop them. Between now and when you're finished writing your book, be sure to read the novels to do more, a little research on the art of writing fiction.
